1. Information we do not collect

Focus Now does not collect, store, or share any personal data such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location
  • Contacts
  • Photos
  • Files
  • Device identifiers
  • Advertising or tracking data

The app contains no online accounts, no cloud storage, and no third-party tracking.

2. Information stored on your device

Focus Now stores a small amount of data locally on your device only, using standard application storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.

a. Focus session data

  • Total minutes focused
  • Number of completed sessions
  • Daily and weekly focus totals
  • Optional session notes (if you choose to write them)

b. App settings

  • Selected focus time
  • Theme selection
  • Ambience, music, and chime toggle states

This information is used only to provide app functionality and to improve your personal experience while using Focus Now. You can clear this data at any time using the "Clear Data" option inside the app.

3. No internet communication

Focus Now does not send any data to a remote server. The app does not use:

  • Analytics services
  • Advertising networks
  • Online backups
  • Third-party SDKs that collect personal data

All functionality works entirely offline.

4. Permissions used

Focus Now requests only the minimum permissions needed for its core features:

Storage (temporary files only)

This is used when you choose to share your weekly stats graph. The app:

  • Creates a temporary image file containing your stats chart
  • Passes that image to the Android system share dialog

Focus Now does not browse or access your personal photos, media, or other files on your device.

Prevent device from sleeping

During an active focus session, the app may prevent your device from sleeping so that the timer and screen stay visible. No personal data is read or transmitted when this permission is in use.

5. Children's privacy

Focus Now is suitable for all ages. The app does not collect any personal information from children or adults.

6. Data security

Because all data is stored locally and never transmitted, your information remains private to your device. If you uninstall Focus Now, all locally stored data associated with the app is permanently removed.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document and/or in the app's Google Play Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes are published will mean that you accept the updated policy.
